General Terms and Conditions

1. Preamble
This agreement is made with SM Travel Ltd, registered in Geneva, Switzerland (VAT: CHE-105.851.974).
All services booked through the agency are subject to the present terms and conditions.
2. Availability of Offers
- All offers are subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
- Reservations are not guaranteed until booking confirmation and payment are received.
- Option dates are temporary and will be automatically released if not confirmed in time.
- Package prices may be adjusted if elements are removed.

For bookings under CHF 1,000:
- CHF 50 per person (up to 5 guests)
- CHF 25 per person (from 6 guests)
3. Pricing Conditions
- All prices are NET, in Swiss Francs (CHF), VAT included unless stated otherwise.
- Prices depend on availability, dates, number of persons, and services.
- The agency reserves the right to modify prices before booking confirmation.
4. Deposits and Payments
- A deposit is required upon acceptance of the offer.
- Full payment (100%) is required at least 6 weeks before arrival unless agreed otherwise.
- For last-minute bookings (within 7 days), full prepayment is required (4% credit card fee may apply).
- All banking and transfer fees are the responsibility of the client.
- A booking is only confirmed once payment conditions are fulfilled.
5. Invoicing & Complaints
- Invoices must be paid within 10 days unless otherwise agreed.

Complaints must be submitted in writing within 2 weeks after the end of the trip,
including supporting documents (agency confirmation, police report if applicable).
- No compensation claims will be accepted after this period.
6. Cancellation Policy
General
- Cancellation date is based on the date the agency receives written notice.
- If received on weekends or holidays, the next working day applies.
Daily Excursions (Zurich / Geneva)
- Up to 8 working days: 10% fee
- 7 days or less: 100% fee
Private Transfers & Guides
- Up to 8 working days: 10% fee
- 7 days or less: 100% fee
Coach Tours (Switzerland)
- Booking → 30 days: CHF 80
- 30–21 days: 10%
- 20–15 days: 25%
- 14–7 days: 50%
- < 7 days or no-show: 100%
Train Tours
- Changes: CHF 80 per modification
- 31–24 days: 30%
- 23–18 days: 50%
- 17–8 days: 80%
- < 8 days: 100%
Rail Passes
- 100% charged if unused, lost, or not returned 5 days before validity
Accommodation
- Less than 8 days: 100% fee
Note: Special conditions may apply depending on the service. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
7. Force Majeure
The agreement may be terminated without liability in case of events beyond control such as:
- Natural disasters (earthquake, flood, pandemic, etc.)
- War, terrorism, government restrictions
- Transport disruption or safety risks
Either party may terminate the agreement via written notice.
8. Pandemic Conditions
- If services cannot be provided due to official restrictions, alternatives or refunds may be offered.
- If a client tests positive, standard cancellation terms apply.
9. General Conditions
- Travel, airline, and transport liabilities are the responsibility of the client.
- The agency is not responsible for visas or travel documents.
- Client details must be provided at least 2 weeks before arrival.
- Images in offers are non-contractual.
- Any booking implies acceptance of these terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. Any dispute shall be handled by the courts of Geneva, Switzerland.
